Why Last Year’s Maserati Models Make Exceptional Pre-Owned Vehicles
The Maserati name has been synonymous with style and luxury for over 100 years. The Italian luxury car manufacturer is one of the most exclusive automotive brands in the entire world. As we know, Maserati is concerned with so much more than simply providing a premium luxurious interior. The entire Maserati lineup is powerful and performance oriented, while at the same time, more luxurious than any other brand of vehicles. Getting behind the wheel of a Maserati is a powerful feeling, and actually owning one is even more exhilarating. With the highest level of luxury and performance, also comes high level price tags. Rather than count yourself out as a potential Maserati owner on account of their high price, consider purchasing a pre-owned Maserati sedan or coupe.
Buying a pre-owned vehicle from any brand will save you money, and this is especially true of making a pre-owned Maserati purchase. The entire concept of purchasing such a high-end vehicle “used” turns some buyers off altogether. While we understand some of these misgivings, buying a quality pre-owned Maserati is actually a practical and smart way to get your hands on the wheel of this exclusive world-renowned brand of cars.
Why a Pre-Owned Maserati Makes Sense
Most vehicles purchased in the mainstream automotive market are used rather extensively. Long family road trips, heavy commuting to and from the office each day, and hauling groceries each week, can lead to wear and tear on a vehicle that is unattractive to used car buyers. Buyers end up searching through dozens of vehicle interiors to find a car that is less damaged, and in turn – more attractive. The wearing down of vehicles used in everyday activities with multiple passengers and children aboard can break even a good car down rather quickly. While this may be the case with most used cars, this excessive use and wearing down of a used vehicle is unlikely to occur with a pre-owned Maserati.
Maserati owners are known for taking meticulous care of their vehicles, especially when it comes to keeping up with maintenance, car washing, and interior detailing. A Maserati vehicle is unlikely to be neglected, due in part to its higher-end price tag, but also because Maserati owners take great pride in their cars. While some buyers ask “Why would I ever buy a used Maserati?”, our question is, “Why wouldn’t you buy a pre-owned Maserati?” To us, purchasing a certified pre-owned Maserati makes a lot more sense than buying a used car from any other brand.
With that being said, it is important to recognize this distinction when making the decision to buy a pre-owned Maserati. You simply cannot make the same used car preconceptions that you would with a mainstream vehicle make and model. Maseratis can be just as exceptional when you purchase them pre-owned, then they were when they first made their way onto American soil. A certified pre-owned Maserati is one of the best purchases you will ever make in your lifetime. The immediate savings you achieve just by purchasing a model that is a year or two older than the current year, can save you tens of thousands of dollars right off the bat.
Consider Buying a Pre-Owned 2015 Maserati
For its 2015 lineup, Maserati offered three exceptional vehicles to drivers in the luxury car market. Each of these Maserati models make great pre-owned cars, and with only being a couple years away from their original model year, are likely to be in exceptional, if not perfect condition.
Take a look at each of the four 2015 Maserati models, and see why we think they make great pre-owned options.
2015 Maserati Quattroporte –
This sedan’s literal translation is “four doors,” and the 2015 model makes a great pre-owned option for drivers looking to spend less than the Quattroporte’s $101,700 starting MSRP. Three different models were produced for 2015 – the S, S Q4 and GTS. The base Quattroporte S came standard with a 3.0-liter V6 engine capable of producing 404 horsepower and rear-wheel drive for 2015. The mid-level S Q4 added all-wheel drive to the luxury sedan, while the high-end GTS gained a 3.8-liter V8 engine with rear-wheel drive and a horsepower rating of 523. With twin turbos throughout this model’s lineup, the Quattroporte is an excellent option for drivers who demand responsive handling and inspired performance. The rich interior offers deluxe hand stitched leather throughout, a large 8.4-inch touch screen display, a 10-speaker sound system, and plenty of premium comfort and convenience amenities only a Maserati can deliver.
2015 Maserati Ghibli –
Another sedan in the Maserati lineup, the Ghibli is a sporty addition to the brand’s lineup. One of the more affordable options for 2015, the Ghibli starts at $71,850. The base model comes with a 3.0-liter V6 and rear-wheel drive, while the S Q4 offers a more powerful engine that carries a horsepower rating of 404. The Ghibli offers plenty of lush interior amenities and features, although its power options and interior materials aren’t as luxurious as the more expensive Quattroporte. With the Ghibli’s lower starting MSRP for 2015, drivers should be able to find well-equipped versions of this sedan for much less, pre-owned.
2015 Maserati GranTurismo:
This Maserati vehicle is one of the most diverse in the Italian’s manufacturer’s entire lineup. Offered as both a coupe and a convertible, the GranTurismo is also the most expensive. Starting at $134,625, the 2015 GranTurismo comes standard with a stunningly powerful 4.7-liter V8 capable of producing 454 horsepower. The coupe can sprint from 0 to 60 in just 4.7 seconds, while the carefully sculpted body cuts through the wind with aerodynamic perfection. The interior of all GranTurismo models come lavishly appointed with plush seating, soft-touch materials, and fine Italian leather upholstery. Every luxury element you could imagine lives inside of the GranTurismo coupe and convertible models, making it the perfect vehicle to own if you truly appreciate the finer things in life.
