And, from the ease with which you glide over the road and the power you feel from the engine, you know you must be driving a Maserati.

With a century of exquisite auto-making experience, Maserati has refined and perfected the art of class and style in their vehicles – so much so that the brand has become synonymous with powerful and pleasurable driving. This has never been more apparent than with the newly-updated Maserati Quattroporte and Ghibli S models for 2016.

If you’re as excited as we are about these incredible new vehicles, then you should get in contact with a trusted Maserati dealer and check out a Maserati for sale. We highly doubt you’ll be less than impressed.

The 2016 Maserati Quattroporte S
A bold, muscular profile. A sleek front facing, with the classic extended bonnet. That renowned oval front grille, with its distinctive Trident in the center. It must be a Quattroporte.

Since its release in 2013, the Quattroporte has taken the luxury automotive industry by storm – and helped seriously breathe new life into the already highly-respected Maserati brand. Now, for the 2016 S model, Maserati has not only improved the power and comfort of the standard Quattroporte, it has also widened the options.

First thing’s first – this machine is powerful. Newly equipped with a high-powered 3-liter Twin Turbo V6 engine with rear-wheel drive variant, the Quattroporte S can pump out an impressive 410 horsepower. This is helped in part by the bore spec and combustion chamber taken from Maserati’s sporty Quattroporte GTS model, along with the GTS’s valve-control and direct injection technology which allow the S model to hit just over 60 mph in about 5.1 seconds.

The S model is outfitted with a modern, automatic, 8-speed ZF transmission and auto-adaptive software that learns a driver’s style and adjusts shifting to keep gear changes light and easy between five different available shift styles. This gives the Quattroporte S enough power to match its stunning appearance.

And stunning it is, boasting stylish and sleek light clusters on either side of its distinctive black front grille feature LED running daytime lights with a smooth verticle sweep along the vehicle’s flanks. Similarly-designed rectangular rear light clusters give the Quattroporte S a distinctive profile against its impressive dual steel oval tailpipes.

19-inch Tritone rims come standard on the Quattroporte S pair with high-performance Brembo brakes to give the new model both undeniable style and hard-to-beat handling power. Those looking for a truly unforgettable style may also opt for the available 20-inch, seven-spoke, super-sporty Mercurio rims or the 20-inch two-tone Crono rims. And for those who need the ultimate outward class, imposing yet lightweight available 21-inch Titano wheel rims offer exceptional handling and a nice view of the brake calipers through slimline spokes.

Not to be missed, the interior of the Quattroporte S is unforgettably luxurious. The three-level dash with a large center console makes the cockpit seem deceptively spacious, while ergonomic wraparound power seats ensure you and your passenger can ride in total comfort. And for those in the back seats, two stowable cupholders and a USB connection to plug in mobile devices keep everybody happy and entertained for the duration of your drive. Consumers can also opt for individually climate-controlled power rear seats to keep everyone in the lap of total luxury.

The standard briarwood interior dash affords the Quattroporte S a distinctly modern style sure to be easy on the eyes of any passenger or onlooker, while available Erable, Tanganika or Ebony finishes allow the driver total customization to make the model perfect for any sense of style. Available carbon-fiber accents, along with an available aluminum steering column and aluminum-brushed pedals with rubber inserts only make the Quattroporte S that much more attractive.

The optional Harman Kardon Premium Sound System, featuring ten distinct speakers distributed throughout the vehicle, produces 360 degrees of supreme sonic power reproduces your music perfectly no matter where you’re sitting. Featuring specialized subwoofers, mid-range drivers and tweeters, these speakers are sure to blow you away and not lose even an ounce of fidelity. Or, for the true audiophile, the available new-generation Premium Surround system from Bowers & Wilkins offers concert-hall quality acoustics through its 16-channel 1,280 Watt amplifier and 15 speakers to offer unparalleled sound quality.

All of this and more help make the 2016 Quattroporte S, much like it’s relative the 2016 Ghibli S, a vehicle not to be ignored.

The 2016 Maserati Ghibli S
Slightly smaller than the Quattroporte (with which it shares its underpinnings), the new Ghibli S model introduced for 2016 offers impressive improvements on an already excellent model.

Many of the excellent qualities of the Quattroporte S are present on the Ghibli S, including the impressive exterior profile, dual steel exhaust tips, standard Brembo brakes, and available luxury sound systems. Both models offer a stylish available interior created by renowned designer Ermenegildo Zegna, as well as the available carbon-fiber interior finish – if, that is, you aren’t already happy with the Ghibli S’s standard all-leather seats.

For those not satisfied with the Ghibli S’s standard 18-inch diamond-alloy wheels can opt for any of the same rim packages available with the Quattroporte. Power front seats, a spacious rear bench and a sprawling dash featuring a large 8.4-inch display with Maserati Touch Control make the Ghibli S a truly enjoyable car to drive or ride in.

Plus, this machine does not sacrifice on power. Featuring a standard 2.979 liter Twin Turbo V6 engine also capable of hitting 410 horsepower, the Ghibli S will not disappoint the driver who loves serious driving capabilities. Double-wishbone front and five-arm multilink rear suspensions make the ride smooth as can be, while a new version of the Skyhook electronic suspension system, with shocks featuring continuous damping variation, promise that the Ghibli S can take you just about anywhere in comfort.

Both the Ghibli S and Quattroporte S models are newly outfitted with a Start & Stop System for improved fuel efficiency, a Blind Spot & Rear Cross Path alert system, a Power Trunk Lid Hands Free feature, SIRI Smart Personal Assistant and a new wheel collection for the 2016 model year.
